- Cancels your balance if you are involuntarily unemployed, disabled or hospitalized for more than 6 months or in the case of death. Amount cancelled is up to $10,000, less any payments already cancelled for that event.

Job Loss
- If you lose your job or are laid off for 30 consecutive days or more, your minimum monthly Sears card payment up to $500, is cancelled1. Protection continues for up to 6 months.
- You must be employed permanently and continuously for at least 30 hours a week.
- Cancels your balance, up to $10,000, less amounts previously cancelled for that event, after six months of unemployment.

Disability
- If you are unable to engage in the significant duties of your job due to disability for 30 consecutive days, your minimum monthly Sears card payment, up to $500, is cancelled1 for up to 6 months.
- You must be employed permanently and continuously for at least 30 hours a week.
- Cancels your balance, up to $10,000, less amounts previously cancelled for that event, after 6 months of disability.

Leave of Absence
- If you take 30 days of continuous employer approved unpaid leave, your Sears card minimum monthly payment, up to $500, is cancelled1 for up to 6 months.
- Reasons for leave may include: attending to a newborn or newly adopted child, caring for an immediate family member with a serious health condition, a declared federal disaster within the United States, or recall to active military duty.
- You must be employed permanently and continuously for at least 30 hours a week.

Hospitalization
- If you are hospitalized even for 1 night, your minimum monthly payment, up to $500, is cancelled1 for up to 6 months.
- Cancels your balance, up to $10,000, less amounts previously cancelled for that event, after six months of hospitalization.
